limited No. of functions in one cell ?!

i want to have 30 IF functions in one cell but I can only have 9-10
otherwise I get an error message.

Even if you could put 30 IF functions in a formula (you can't,
you're limited to 7 levels of parens), the formula would be
nearly unreadable and unmaintainable. Most likely, there is a
better way, probably using either CHOOSE or VLOOKUP. If you post
an explanation of what you are attempting to achieve, you'll
likely get a desirable formula.

As previously mentioned, you only have 7 nests. In Office 12 you will have,
I believe, 64. Why? I don't know. I would never want to use that many
anyway. There is generally a better way with other formulas as well.
