Limiting editing rights in Outlook calendars

Hi folks,

I am looking at the possibility of setting up a room booking service in
Outlook. So far so easy, set up a profile for the room and voila it has a
calendar. Setting up editing rights is also easy, however there are two
problems.

1) I would like to set it so that people can not book the room for more than
2 weeks in advance (for example)

2) I would like to set it so that once a room is booked the booking can only
be changed by a) the room booker or b) an administrator.

3) also while I am thinking about it, in 2003 there is a default value for
setting rights, eg I could set the default value to reviewer and then
everyone could see but not edit the calendar. Is there a similar function
in Outlook 2000?

Thanks in advance,

Danny

1-2) Outlook doesn't support either of these natively. You'd need custom
code or a third-party application managing the process. I'm not sure whether
the Resource Manager tool from http://www.swinc.com would help, but it's
worth taking a look at.

3) Setting basic permissions like that uses the same process in all versions
of Outlook.
