Limiting project file access from server

Hi,
Every user in our company once they try to open a project file .. "Open from
Microsfot Office Project Server", they can see and open all the other
projects in the server.
How to limit it? For example if I want somebody to just see/open/edit a
specific project where he belongs to.

We are using MS Project 2003 Enterprise with SP2.

Pls help. Thanks.

Hi,
This is possible, but you have to understand categories and security groups
and the relevant permissions before you begin. What you need to change
depends on what you have already set up, and which defaults have been
modified. Put simply, you want to be in a position where PMs only have open
access to projects that they are the owner of, so you need to check the my
projects category for the projects in there ("projects that are owned by me"
I think). You'll need to check which other categories the PM group has
access to.

I would start here -
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Offic...7193-4ed3-93bd-6685f0d82db11033.mspx?mfr=true
and also check out one of the PS books for a chapter on security. The
security hasn't changed much between 2003 and 2007 so a good book on either
will work.
