Line Cap deactivation

Is there a way to choose no line caps? I seem to have the option for Rounded
or Square, but not None.

A line has to end in some manner, squared and rounded are the options.

I think I'm using the wrong terminology :)

What I am thinking about is when two lines intersect, it creates a half
circle on one of the lines. I understand the purpose, to easily follow each
line to and from its respective shapes, but there are times I don't want this
half circle to appear.

menu File -> Page Setup -> Layout and Routing -> Line Jumps
