In a column, I have the months of the year listed. In the column next to
this, I have a number of hours formated as [hh]:mm which relates to that
month. So for example, in A1 I have January and in B1 I have 48:00. Now,
when I go to put this in a line chart so that I can see where the number of
hours drops in certain months etc, it doesn't work. Is this because I am
formatting the information as time?

Any ideas?

Confidential, the time format should be no problem. How are you going about
creating your chart, and what result are you getting? Please post back.

A couple things to check:

Is the Chart Wizard picking up the correct cells for the data range? (check
in Step 2 of the wizard)

Is the chart plotting the data by columns (good) or rows (bad)? (again,
check in Step 2)

What does "it doesn't work" mean?

What does it mean that you have hours in a cell? Is it a number such
as 45? If so, why format it as hh:mm? Won't mm always be zero? If
you change the cell's format to 'General', what does the cell show?
