Hi I am not sure where to direct my question but I thought I would start in
here
I am using Microsoft image composer to draw up walls for a house and naming
them Wall A, Wall B etc. I need to be able to put in lines with an arrow to
show distance between two points. Can someone please tell me which program I
can use to do this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You need a CAD program but Visio could do it. I've seen some low-end simple
CAD programs for as little as $60.

Does Image Composer not let you draw lines? (I'm asking a serious
question -- I've never used Image Composer, and in fact, I had to look it up
to even know what it is or what it came with.

You can draw pretty easily on a PowerPoint slide, but the more important
thing is, what does your final result need to be? Another image? You can
save images from a PPT file, but I'd think it would be easier if you could
do it all in Image Composer.

Take a look at SmartDraw, they have a trial version. I use it to do
floorplans...much easier and cheaper than a CAD program. Also has Visio-like
features. Not too expensive either if you choose to buy it.

Depending on how long you will need it, you can download the Visio 2003
trial version and use it for 30 days.
