I'm using Word 2003, SP2.
My document has 3rd order headings, which are indented 0.5 inches from the
left. Sometimes I need to add a 0.5 inch horizontal line to the left of the
heading and sometimes I don't. I was trying to record a macro to do this and
that worked great. However, when I run the macro, it puts the line on top of
my first line. For example:
______ 1.1.1 Text, text, text.
1.1.2 (I don't need a line by this one.)
1.1.3 (this is where I want to put another line).
When I run the macro, the new line for Section 1.1.3 is on top of the one
for Section 1.1.1. No doubt because that's where my cursor was when I
recorded it.
Is there a way that I can insert a line and have it be to the left of the
activated paragraph?
As you can probably tell, I'm a newbie to this.
