There isn't any way using the built-in line numbering feature. You can
simulate the line numbering (as the Pleading Wizard does) by creating a
frame or text box anchored to the document header. Set the position of the
frame to "Outside" relative to page or margin (whichever works) and type
line numbers in it using the same style you'll be using for the document
body. The drawback to this approach is that the numbers repeat on every
page, the spacing is fixed, and there is a number for every line, whether
there is text on it or not. This is fine for legal documents or court
transcripts created in Courier New with double spacing and no fancy
formatting (and widow/orphan control turned off so that there is exactly the
same number of lines on every page), but it will not be helpful for more
complex documents.
