Line position

I doubt this is the right tool for what I am trying to accomplish, but I am
trying to improvise. If anybody has a better idea, jump right in.

I have to reproduce a series of line with a precise thickness and spacing.
I settled on using the line tool from the drawing tools. I have these line
close to the thickness and length I need, but I'm having trouble with the
spacing.

I created the first line to spec, then did some copying and pasting to
reproduce them. These lines tend to snap to a particular invisible grid.
Since all my paragraphs are formatted the same I had hope the lines would
maintain a consistent spacing, but on some paragraph, these line are slightly
higher than in previous ones. For my purposes, this is a big problem.

Please save my from myself. These simple graphics are driving me nuts.

Pressing Alt while dragging will override the grid. Using Format | AutoShape
| Layout | Advanced, you can adjust the position precisely.

Holding the Control key and using Arrow keys can move lines or anything
incrementally with small moves. I also group (Draw/Group) the lines after I
get them where I want them. Then if they move they stay together and the
group can be repositioned.

Draw/Grid allows you to change the grid spacing to a more suitable
incremental move.
