lining up text

Jeff

I have two columns of text on a page. When I insert a text box within the
text box to highlight a quote, the text in the original text box no longer
lines up comparing the left and right columns. I've tried all sorts of tweaks
to the text box layout to change this but nothing works. I'd appreciate any
suggestions. Thank you.

Does the text box have two columns or do you have two text boxes? If it is the
former try a ctrl+shift+enter at the end of the first column, does this even it
out?

The original text box has two columns. The one I have inserted for a breakout
quote has one column and it has been placed in one column of the two-column
text box. I tried ctrl+shift+enter at the end of the first column but it just
created a big space at the top of the page and shifted text onto the next
page.

Thank you for responding.

Are you bringing the "pull quotes" to the front? Take a look at your paragraph
format. Format, paragraph, be sure the before and after line spacing's are zero.

After lots of tweaking, I've somehow gotten it to line up. Thanks for your
help, Mary.
