Link an email(s) to a task or calendar event

Frequently an email becomes an action item. It would be nice to be able to
link a specific email or e-mails to a task or a calendar event. That way
when the reminder comes due there will be the appropriate reference available.

G'Day Arnie,

The following advice is for Outlook 2003. A similar facility is
available in earlier versions.

Please try the following:
While in Mail and (having selected Inbox) reading your mail,
Click "Folder List" in the lower half of the Navigation Pane.
You now have three columns:
| Folder List | Inbox | (Reading Pane) |

Left-Drag an e-mail from the Inbox column and drop it on
Calendar OR Tasks in the Folder List Column - Close
without saving.

Is this something similar to what you would like?

If it is, then RIGHT-Drag instead to see various other options
available after you drop.
