Automatic email From address

P

Panrec

I use several email addresses and I'm always having to remember to change the
account to send from when creating a new email.

It would be most useful if when you are viewing the inbox in a particular
PST or IMAP folder, new emails were automatically set to be from the
associated email account.

Outlook always replies using the account that received the message, so what
you request for IMAP accounts already happens, since all the messages in the
IMAP folders should have been received by the IMAP account, unless you put
messages received by other accounts into the IMAP folders.

I know that, it's actually when I create a new email I would like it to
default from the mailbox I'm actually looking at. I think Mac Mail does
something similar.

Good luck with that suggestion. Since there really is no one-to-one
correspondence between folder sets and mail accounts (any PST, including IMAP
PSTs can hold messages received by any account), I don't know how they'd
implement it.

Just being able to set the default email acount for each PST folder would be
enough for me.
