Link Bar does not Publish Correctly

I reviewed the previous link bar posts but did not see a
problem such as this. I am running FP2003 and am in the
process of adding some new pages and a new navigation
structure to an existing Web. I created several custom
link bars and placed them in the _private folder of this
web. I then included these bars on the appropriate pages.

Everything looks good on the test system (Windows
2000/IIS 5.0/FPSE2002) but when I publish to my hosting
company, two of the link buttons are missing from the
link bar. If I open the web in FrontPage and view Link
Bar properties, missing links are not there. The only
thing different between the two system is that the
hosting company is running some SharePoint services.

I have tried just selecting the link bar files and just
selectively publishing them but this does not work
either. No errors are being posted in the publish log,
and when I view the folder list, it indicates that both
_private folders are identical (i.e., that all files in
the _private folder are flagged as "Unchanged".

By the way, I have a backup subweb on the same hosting
server and when I publish to this sub-web, everything
works just fine. You can view one of the pages that have
this link bar error problem at:
http://www.jhbarnes.com/jhb&aservices.htm, and a page
that has the correct link bar at:
http://www.jhbarnes.com/copy_of_jhbarnes/jhb&aservices.com
..

I have not attempted to edit the web and add these
missing buttons to the link bar on the hosting server
but I confident that this will work as a short-term work-
around, but is not an acceptable solution this problem.

I apologize for this long post. Thanks in advance.

I do not have a solution, but rather requesting info as I'm having a problem
with a custom linkbar.
Any thoughts. Thanks.

I've created a new linkbar in a shared border.
I've "added links" by browsing for the htm files.
The buttons are titled with the file names (service_new.htm) rather than the
cosmetic Page Property Name (Services). When using a default linkbar the
buttons show the Page Property name of the file.
Any thoughts on how to get these custom links to display the cosmetic file
name.

Start by removing the & from your file/folder names - illegal html
