Link computer actions to Powerpoint presentation?

I would like to link an actual computer scanning process and the applying of
properties to the scan as an action set to a slide in Powerpoint

What exactly do you mean by "scanning process"? You could do it maybe with
an action setting but we would need a lot more details.
