link line chart to information on form

Hello,

I am trying to make a chart for each item's sales and link
to a form which will have the item number to look for. My
query has each items information and when I place the item
number as criteria in the query, the chart is correct.
However when I link the chart to the form where the item
number is and take the critera out of the query, it sums
all of the items together. What I want to do is to have
the sales chart pop up when I select a certain item in a
form. Please help. Hopefully I explained my situation
completely. If not, please let me know.
