link one powerpoint chart to another presentation

Can I link one PP set of charts to another PP presentation. I wish to update
charts in 3 or 4 different presentations and when I open a summary
presentation it links and updates the charts from the subordinate files. I
can link to Excel, Access, etc. but I have not been able to find out how to
link one PP chart to another PP chart in a different file. The subordinate
files may be a combination of text, imbedded pictures that I have updated,
etc.
