They do have FP extentions if it is requested at an addirtional price. I was
desprate and I sent an e-mail discribing my problem to Freewebs service. I
didn't expect to get an answer. They replyed telling me that it was their
error and it had been corrected. Now, my web site is normal. Thanks for your
help and, now, I can stop pulling out my hair. My two day nightmare is over.

the site live with FP. You'll have to use ftp.
| No. I can only see my online web in the browser when I go to my web
address
| unless there is a way I don't know about.

| Try to deal with one at a time.
|
| Can you open the online web directly with FP?
|
|
| | | This problem is driving me crazy. The site works good on other computers
| but
| | not on mine. No matter what I do I can't get the site at the host level.
| It
| | seems as if the problem is in main.htm. The index page is giving me
| trouble.
| | Thanks for the help. Looks as if I'll have to give up on this page and
| find
| | another webmaster for these people. I can't do anything about it and I
| can't
| | find any information on it.

| | wrote in message | | basically because when you use FP and on a site the has FP extensions
| | enabled AND you use Publish (not ftp) Frontpage will track links and
| rename
| | them appropriately. When you use third party FTP or host upload
thingies,
| FP
| | doesn't know about your changes - you must manually change them. AND
third
| | party FTP will usually break the FP extensions IF they're installed.
| |
| | basically.
| |
| |
| | | | | Now i'm cofused. I created my new web page in FP in the open web site
on
| | my
| | | HD and named it main. I changed the old index page to main. I uploaded
| | both
| | | pages to the host site. I can't see why this dosen't work. I've
renamed
| | | other pages and uploaded them and they worked. There's somthing wrong
| with
| | | this index page. I can't see if this page is working on the web as I
| can't
| | | get to it. Someone suggested I name the page
| | | atlanticaudubonsociety/index.htm. I did that but it won't work in FP.
| Why
| | is
| | | this simple process so hard to do?
