Link tables disappear

K

Kaykayme

I have read several questions about Link tables that do not appear in the
Link Table Manager but appear in the Navigation window and are still
functioning. However, this problem I have is different. I opened an Access
2000 database in Access 2007 and the link tables are gone. I relinked them
again, saved the database but on reopen the linked tables had disappeared.
When trying to open a query using these linked tables an error occurred. I
tried registering the accwiz.dll file for Access 12 but this did not resolve
the problem. Any clues????

Thanks in advance for your help.

so if you link to the tables, create a simple select query against one
of them, save it, and then close and open the database, does the query
still work? IF that's the case, the tables are hidden. If not, the
link is not getting saved in your database.
