I am trying to link the tables in a mysql db to an Access 2003 sp2 front end
via "linked tables" so that my co-developers don't have to learn new tools
for data input during testing .
Note: I am using the latest MySQL ODBC driver 3.51 AND I can down load data
using EXCEL no problem. Hence user, password and driver are ok.
Here is the sequence in Access
Create new DB
File/Get external data/link tables
Select ODBC Databases() from The "Files of Type" drop down
Select Data source window opens
Machine data source tab selected
"Class" database selected -- type is system
click ok and BOOM -- Get Standard "Send error report" message
Says get update - which I have done just incase
No success
Any ideas Folks??????????????/
