link to an MS Excel Spreadsheet

I have an MS excel spreadsheet containing information that will be updated
over time. can I link that spreadsheet to a OneNote page so that all the
updates can be seen in the onenote page.

A File link or URL-type link to the file? Yes. Anyone who clicks on that
link on the ON page will open the file in Excel (provided they have
permissions, etc.)

Do you mean embedded like OLE? No. OneNote does not support that.
