We've got an Access database that we use for management of database
scripts (who ran what where, when, why, etc) and we're currently
linking to a file in the filesystem in one of our columns. I'd much
prefer that we link to an entry in SourceSafe (so we've got it in SS
and so that people MUST put the script in SS) - is there a means of
linking to a SourceSafe entry from an Access column? (including
linking to a specific version of a SourceSafe entry, since a script
may be modified before its run in a different environment from the one
that it was originally run in.) Ideally, we'd be able to drag-drop
from SourceSafe's tree directly into the Access form field (as we
currently can do w/ files in Explorer's tree.)
I'm a developer, but not an MS/Access/SourceSafe developer, so forgive
me if there is some commonly-known means of doing this. (I searched
the archives, really!)
Appreciate any tips!!
Thanks
