Link worksheet totals to a summary worksheet in the same workbook

I've followed the directions to link information in a worksheet to a summary
worksheet in the same workbook. However, the links I want to make are monthly
totals as a formula.

When I link the cell to the summary, I do not get the total, I get a zero.
Can anyone please help.

Hi Carolyn

Can you give us the formula you are using, and a little sample of the
data being summed?

It sounds like you are copying and pasteing the formula instead of linking to
the cell value. Try this
go to the cell where you want the result, left-click on it and type = in it,
do not hit enter, but go to the sheet and cell where you have the result you
want, left-click on that cell THEN hit Enter.........when you go back to the
original cell it should contain the same value that you went after........
