linked excel database

Help does anyone know why my linked excel database to Access has stopped
allowing me to edit from access. Can still make changes from excel but will
not allow me to make any alterations in Access. Still works on my other
network pc's which share the same database.

See this KB article to be specific:

You cannot change, add, or delete data in tables that are linked to
an Excel workbook in Office Access 2003 or in Access 2002
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904953

You gotta love the "More Information" section. What will the lawyers think
of next...locking down SQL Server so that we cannot edit data from an Access
app?
Geez....
