Linked image owes - Please help

Hey guys,

I just finished building a massive slideshow using the "Gallery" function.
Originally I tried importing them, but then my PowerPoint file was 250 megs
big, and would freeze up anything that tried to view it. So instead I used
the link to file option while importing. Everything was great until I burned
it to CD, to find that it was looking for the images on my harddrive... Is
there some way around this? Usually if a file is placed in the root, with
images in folders are in that same root, programs look there first.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is best to avoid linking images if at all possible. It sounds like your
images are much larger than they need to be. In addition to the links that
Geetesh has provided, see these:

With PowerPoint 2002 and 2003 you can compress all pictures when you save the
file, or individual images when you are in edit mode. You can also optimize the
images yourself. See

Charles,

Best not to use the "gallery" or "photo album" feature of powerpoint and
instead use

To understand why your powerpoint file is soo big see
