I have an Access database that has some linked tables (to
MS SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 8). What I want to know is
does Access take advantage of the indexes on the SQL
database if they can be used? Is there any way to
help "hint" an index to use? Is this something that the
SQL server/Oracle ODBC driver can use? Where this comes
in handy is when I am creating queries in Access using
the Linked tables.
I'm extremely familiar with SQL Server and creating
indexes, but am I wasting my time.
Thanks!!
