I have Microsoft Access 2000. I recently had to do a clean reinstall of my
operating system (Windows XP), and since then, I cannot view my Access
Database files that were saved in My Documents folder. Somehow, my primary
database was in my Documents file as a .txt file, and this is the only way I
can even view it - but I can't seem to convert it to a .mdb file; Access
keeps reminding me that it is a "linked" file, and as a linked file, I can't
do anything with it. The instructions, regarding converting linked files to
"local" Access database files, on the help site (which involves copying and
saving the file) don't work. Please help!
