Linked tables not getting updated

Hi guys,
Recently our customer updated their Pcs to *Vista and Access 2007* from *XP
and Access 2000* a big leap!! we had applications running on access 2000
using linked tables to SQL 2000. The tables were getting updated before but
has problems after the upgrade. Problems are

We can add records.... but when we come back to edit it says "drop changes"
and does not save the changes.
Environment- Vista and Access 2007 with latest updates
I tried .mde and .mdb and accdb and accde version of the
applications

Please help
