Linked Tables

Julian BOTTA

I have one database on 2 computers. One has all the tables and the other one has all tables linked to the first one.

Can I have on the Base computer all the data transmited from the extention computer

I our company many are entering data wich I would like to keep only on the server

Althoug I linked the tables nothing happen, the programs are acting as individuals.

Assuming that the the databases comply with the
following: -

1. Master Application and "Linked" Application are both
MS Access.
2. Both versions of MS Access are identical

Then it is not an MS Access problem. Verify the
following: -

1. The source database is on a drive that is "shared".
2. All users using the linked PC have access to
the "Shared" drive.
3. When linking the Tables into the Linked Database,
ensure that you specify the link using the PC and shared
drive name, rather than specifying a drive letter.
4. If you are linking the Tables via ODBC, ensure that
both sets of Drivers on both PC's are compatible with each
other.

HTH.
