Linked text between slides

Is it possible to enter text in an entry field (on a non-display silde) and
have that text automatically copy or link to specified places within the
presentation??? (Kind of like Word Fields in MS Word)...

I want to personalise aspects of the presentation without having to go to
invidual slides to update the same information...

Any info would be apprciated...
