Hi I have a database built in XP 2003 (with a back end on a server and front
end on the user's pc) with a series of *.wmf files anf jpegs that are linked
to records viewed on a form.
If I view a form with the associated wmf file and jpegs - Access then locks
the files - when I close the form the wmf remains locked but the jpegs can be
amended updated if necessary. The only way to amend the wmf file is to get
all users that have viewe d the record during the day to close their
database.
Is there any code that on closing the form will force the the ldb file (I'm
Guessing) to release lock the wmf file to save having to get every user to
close their database?
