Linking between Project Server and Project Professional

I have two schedules; one that I kept for my staff, and the other is provided
by my contractor. My schedule is out on the Server, while the contractor
file is in Project 2003. I would like to link some of my activities to
theirs. Please advise what is the best way to link tasks between the two
schedules.

You can do this by creating a master project using the following steps:

1. Open a new blank project, then click Insert - Project.
2. Select the enterprise project (in Project Server) and then click Insert.
3. Click Insert - Project again, click the Insert from File button, select
the local project from your contractor, and then click the Insert button.
4. Expand each of the subprojects and link the tasks as needed.
5. Close the master project file and save it as an .mpp file if you wish.
6. When prompted about saving each subproject, click the Yes to All button.
