Linking Child Fields

Christina

I have a form and a subform, , both with name and Social Security Number
field. In the properties it shows that I have both linked, however only the
social security number actually shows up in the subform. The name does not.
Any suggestions.

thanks

Neither names nor SSNs are appropriate linking fields! Not everyone has a SSN;
those who do have a legal right to have them kept private, and not used for
purposes other than the Social Security service. Names are notoriously not
unique and are variable.

That said... what are the actual values in the Master Link Field and Child
Link Field properties of the Subform control? These are not necessarily the
same as the fields defined in the Relationships window.

Do you have a textbox on the form that should display the name? What is its
control source?
