Linking data from excel into flowsheet

I have created excel spreadsheet and a process flow sheet that show the
flowrates in each flow (connecting lines) with visio. I have input the data
one by one. Now, I have realized that the data will change frequently and
re-entering the data each time the flowrate is modified is out of question.

Is there a way to link the data from excel spread sheet to visio so it would
update with excel preadsheet?

that's a standard feature in visio 2007 professional (using datarecordsets).
