linking excel info to word

I have a Word document in which I have pasted info from Excel as a
link object. The information in Excel was formatted with borders.
The problem is that sometimes either the top or bottom borders do not
print in the Word document. The linked info shows up fine when
viewing in page layout view in Word and shows up fine in print preview
but doesn't actually print on the page. This has happened on several
different printers, so I don't think this is a printer problem...Any
ideas?
