Linking .jnt files to outlook appointments

When using 'Insert Object' to create a link to a Journal Note file for an
appointment I cannot save the appointment getting the lengthy 'unsafe object
warning' with a 'yes', 'no', and 'help buttons. Included in the warning is a
statement that the file may not be inserted. It is right as when I reopen it
is not there and in a grey box there is text telling me 'Outlook has blocked
access to the following potentially unsafe object: Package.'

I have tried the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829982 on Cannot opening
attachments in Microsoft Outlook. The suggested registry change did nothing
to change the outcome.

I have inserted whole files without trouble however if I update the inserted
file, it does not update the file stored elsewhere. Plus as files are
inserted, the .pst file grows in size.

So, does anyone have the solution to accomplish what I am trying to do?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
