Linking sound files to slides?

Hello,

I know this is simple but I can't find a straightforward step-by-step
procedure in the Microsoft PowerPoint help. How do I link (not embed) a
sound file to a PowerPoint 2007 slide?

Ray,
First, only wave sounds can be embedded. All other sounds will be linked by
default. Just use Insert - Movies and sounds - Sound from file - select the
sound - click OK - Click Automatic. If you need more info, read this:
