linking sounds from slide to slide

I am using Power Point 2003. I have about 50 slides that work quite well
with automatic transition. However, when I insert .mid sounds into the
slides at periodic place ( every nine slides), the slide transition stop at
the finish of the 9th slide. I set custom animation as follows: On click,
and stop after nine slides. Works for the first but the whole presentation
stops at the end of the 9th slide. Any advice, please? I appreciate this
newsgroup. Dick Ross
