linking spreadsheets to each other

When I recieve a spreadsheep via email that is linked to a
another spreadsheet it tries to find the other
spreadsheets. Other computers in my office get the message

"The workbook you opened contains automatic links to
information in another wookbook. Do you want to update
this workbook with changes made to the other workbook?"

Does anyone know how to set the program to ask for this
instead of automatically looking for the linked
spreadsheet?

Tools | Options | Edit tab | Select "Ask to update automatic links"
