Linking title to file

I guess I need to know how to have items on a list linked to another word
file. Example: List of Chapters in a book where in the contents you could
click on the text of the chapter and that chapter beginning would be
rendered on the monitor.

assuming you don't want to use a master document then insert a simple
hyperlink to the other document (file).
