Linking to a Text file

I posted a message here about a problem I'm having creating a link to text
file. I get a linked file but the results end up a single column of data
rather then the columns that are labeled in the text file. I created a
schema.ini file because I was getting that "Can't find x Link Specification"
message. I posted the code and the contents of the schema.ini file in the
earlier message with the subject line: "Access linked table to text file
with schema.ini not working ADO".

It all works when I manually link to the text file from Access. I'm using
Excel and ADODB to try and do this programmatically but, again, it's not
working.

Does anyone have a small example that includes: a text file, the code, and a
schema.ini? I need one that actually works. I've tried my example on a
couple of machines and I get the same results.

I'll try it with a CSV file. It should work with a tab file too, don't you
think?

Changing the file to a CSV worked!

I'd still like to know why it doesn't like the tab file.
