Linking to another Access database which is password Protected

I have 2 tables from a database that link into a client
applciation. These two tables come from a database that
is password protected. When a macro runs, the linked
tables are suppose to be deleted and then relinked. What
happens though is that the tables are just deleted with no
new linked table. If I unset the password on the database
that has the linked tables everything works fine. Any
ideas?
