linking to excel cells

just wondering if this is possible. like to create a catalog, with the
prices in an excel sheet. then, link the item to the cell the price is in,
so it can be dynamically updated when i print the catalog.

i have some excel vba skills, but have never done anything with publisher.

if this is possible, how about using a tiered pricing scheme, for quantity
discounts.

thanks for any advice.
