Linking with Access

I cannot seem to get a simple link accomplished from
Access to Excel. The link works just fine until I change
informtion. Once I make a change the Excel spreadsheet
populates previously unpopulated fields with the next
available data.

Does anyone know of a way to keep this from happening?
