links and colors

I have an 'include page' for a side banner on a website that needs to have
white links so that they show up - however, I want the links in the main
part of the page to be different colors - when I change the link colors in
the main page by using options - it also changes the color of the links in
the side banner - anyway to prevent this??

In Netscape 4.74, the links turn light blue
In Netscape 7.0, the left hand links turn light blue, the main page links do not
change.
In IE 6.0, none of the links change color.
