Links in messages don't link to browser-nothing happens

Hi,

I've got an iMac G4 running Panther 10.3.9 and Entourage X. I updated
Firefox (my default browser) to the most recent version, 2.0.09 and
now the links in messages don't open in my browser-nothing happens.
This is a problem in HTML graphic messages where the url isn't stated
explicitly. I checked these 2 threads and they're not quite the
problem that I've been having:

How to change linking to browser for Entourage?

Default browser

I repaired the permissions for my HD but it still doesn't work.

I have also posted at MozillaZine <http://forums.mozillazine.org/
posting.php?mode=newtopic&f=38> to see if there is something that I
can do to Firefox.

I checked my browsers (IE, Safari, Opera and Firefox) to make sure
that Firefox was my default browser, which it is.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sheryl

I would test in a new User to see if it works there. Create a new User in
System Preferences and set your default preferences. Test. If it works there
then you know there is a problem in your user's folder. If it doesn't work
then it's system wide.

If it's system wide, first try applying the latest Apple combo updater. If
that doesn't work then you'll need to do an "Archive & Install".

Combo updaters will install on the same version as they¹re applying‹no need
to roll back or do a clean install.

Mac OS X 10.4.10 Combo Update (PPC)

BTW, see Super Sweet Deal for getting Office 2008 so you can replace your
End of Life Office X.
