links in onenote

I was wondering, is there anyway of making some kind of hyperlink things (not
sure if this is quite the right term) in your notes, that take you to other
parts of your notes when you click them? I know you can insert links to files
and web pages, but it would be helpful if you could make links between
related notes too. I dont know if this is possible in onenote and maybe ive
just missed it. I sort of assumed one would be able to do that, then when I
looked to find out how, I couldnt find anything.

Thanks in advance,
Julian.

Not currently possible and that is one of the more popular feature
requests for the next version. No promises by I can assure you that the
development team is looking hard at how they can accomplish that.

....like it would be a groundbreaking innovation? :)

Well we already have Named Anchors or Section Anchors on the web
(webpage.htm#NamedAnchor).

Perhaps they could start there.

That would require changing the file format into rendered HTML. Not a
small undertaking.

I can see and use hyperlinks and bookmarks in my Word documents.

I'm confident I'll see them in my OneNote files soon.

I can see and use hyperlinks and bookmarks in a lot of different
applications; that doesn't change the fact that it's a significant
undertaking to add them to OneNote as it is currently designed. :)
I'm confident I'll see them in my OneNote files soon.

I hope it makes it into the next version; it is my most requested feature
and one of the most commonly asked for. I know the development team has
it prominently listed on the "To Do" list but whether it makes it into v2
or not is not yet known.

I'm sure MS will listen to their customers and do the right thing :)
