Links (linking to slides) get messed up!

Hello everyone!

I have this really frustrating problem with Powerpoint 2004 (for Mac):
• I have a slideshow with 45 slides
• I have made a website-like navigation to it. Text links link to different
slides on my slideshow.
• The links work fine when I have just made the links, but when I start
Powerpoint the next time, all the links point to slide 1 (instead of the
slides they should be pointing to).

So my question is that is there anyway to solve this problem or is Microsoft
selling us a product for which they claim that can do something and in
reality it cant?

One more idea. I'm not totally sure of my facts here BTW!

I think that the stored hyperlink detail (limit 32K ish) includes the title
of slides jumped to. ie long title = more space

Could you hyperlink to dummy slides with short titles eg "a1" and then auto
transition to the "real target"?

Did that answer the question / help?

Thanks for the help!

I tried splitting the file into about 10 different shows but it didnt work.

I'll throw away the hyperlinks and just be done with it. :)

If what John said does not help, you may want to ask the same question in
the Mac PowerPoint NG.
