Office 2002, 2003, 2007
What file(s) contain the list of recent documents viewed and where is this
file(s). I'm asking this for Word and Excel. Thanks for your time. Otto
You left me guessing what you want to do with the list of recent documents
in Word or Excel. In Word 2007 and Excel 2007, click on the Office Icon and
then chick on the Program Options. Select Advance and scroll down until to
come to the number of recent documents to display. Word and Excel 2002 and
2003 have the same option in a different location.
So now what do you want to do with your list of Recent Documents?
Windows also has a list of Recent Documents. In Vista if you right click on
the Start Icon and select Properties, you will open the Start Menu
Properties. Near the bottom of the Start Menu tab, there is a Privacy
section. If you uncheck the box to store shortcuts to recent files, the
current list will be purged the current list and Vista will stop collecting
shortcuts to recent documents. If you open the Recent folder from the Start
Menu, you can delete any recent shortcut you choose as you can in any
folder.
