Could you list questions by last date listed first.
I an additional question to a topic thread that was 2 months old.
The result is that my question was overlooked.
Thank you. Love this site. It has helped me solve numerous problems.

Hi Joan.

I think you are posting here using the web interface?

It is much easier if you use a news reader program. Outlook Express can do
it. That way you can sort by date, thread things together, mark your own
messages, and so on.

To set this up in Outlook Express 6:
1. Choose Accounts on the Tools menu.

2. Click the Add button, and the News flyout.

3. Enter the name you wish to use, and click Next.

4. Enter a fake email address, such as:
[email protected]
and click Next. (Be sure to use a fake address so the spambots cannot
harvest your real one.)

5. Enter the news server:
news.microsoft.com
and click Next.

6. In the Folder List (left pane), right-click news.microsoft.com, and
choose Newsgroups.

7. Locate the groups that contain "access", and subscribe to the ones you
are interested in.

The problem is, Joan, that regardless of whether people use the web
interface or a newsreader program, most people prefer to view the
messages grouped by thread. So if you post a new message into a thread
that has been inactive for months, the odds are that no one will notice
it. In a case like that, you would do better to start a new thread, but
quote in your message the relevant portions of the old one -- or else,
if that's too long and involved, the subject and date of the old thread
for reference.
