What does the little green hand signify on some of my folders in Outlook
2007? I seem to have some folders with and some without?

It means the folder is shared. Right click on the folder, choose properties
and then permissions. I have a few folders that are not shared and have the
hand, so its not 100% reliable - but no hand should always mean not shared.
